The Hows & Whys of Public Speaking
This seminar aims to develop the participants’ awareness of the key success factors for delivering public presentations. Here you will learn how to:
- effectively structure a presentation to make it memorable;
- practice the most effective techniques of presentation and audience management;
- avoid the most common mistakes;
- curb those habits and mannerisms that distract the audience;
- answer questions and objections in a professional manner.
Through group exercises and actual presentations, students will learn how to communicate both effectively and assertively, and to critique the presentations of their classmates constructively.
Stefano Sarao joined the South African Embassy in Rome as Journalist/Translator in 1977 but a short few years later he chose a career in Sales and Marketing. In 1985 he joined American Express in Rome as Key Accounts Manager and subsequently became Director of Sales of the Hertz Rent-a-Car Italian operation. In 1989 Hertz promoted him to a European coordination role based in London. A tireless world-traveler, Stefano has since held a variety of Sales and Marketing assignments that took him frequently around the globe, putting him in contact with the most diverse cultures and business customs. He has also lived in Brussels and Vienna, and speaks English, German, French and Spanish fluently. He currently works in Milan as a trainer and business consultant. His main areas of expertise are Public Speaking, Sales & Marketing and Cross-cultural Communication. Stefano has been involved in training projects in Italy, France, the Netherlands, Serbia, UK, South Africa and the UAE.
